Welcome!

I’m so happy you’re here!

Wild Blossom Life is Wild Blossom Life is a safe space for creative people to explore and nurture their creativity.

Through it, I offer low risk, gentle ways to be creative.

If you feel dissatisfied with consumerism and busy culture, and a world where creativity is only valued if it is viewed as a commodity, then this is the place for you!

1. Nature and Noticing

Inspiration is all around us. Going out for a walk and paying attention to what is there helps us to slow down and be present. Moving about in the fresh air combined with being out in nature feeds our creativity.

2. Letting Go of Perfectionism

It’s hard to let go of perfectionism. Sometimes it stops us before we’ve even begun. But mistakes are part of the learning process, and maybe perfect isn’t the goal.

3. Gentle Encouragement

Wild Blossom Life is a place to explore what it means to be a creative person, particularly for women in mid life and beyond.

how I got Here

The Story Behind Wild Blossom Life

Many years ago now, I started a sewing blog called Tea and a Sewing Machine. It was a place where I shared sewing tutorials, tips and techniques. At the time, I was a mum with tiny children, and as I made things for them, for myself, and for my home, it felt natural to not just share what I had made, but how I had made it, and to encourage people to try themselves.

Eventually though, I felt I had said all I wanted to say on the subject of sewing. But I still felt that the heart of what I was saying through the sewing tutorials, the joy of making, the value in slowing down, and the encouragement to begin, still felt true.

Wild Blossom Life grew from the roots of Tea and a Sewing Machine, and from that same longing, shaped by new seasons of life. A longing for gentler rhythms, meaningful creativity, and space for noticing what is around us. It’s a place to explore seasonal living, creative play, and the joy of small things, especially for women in midlife and beyond.

It’s my way of offering what I needed: gentle encouragement, permission to slow down, and an acknowledgement that mistakes are part of the learning process, and imperfect is usually more interesting anyway.
