February is the doorway between winter and spring February is the doorway between winter and spring 💚🤍🌱❄️

The days stay light a little bit longer. Twigs are tipped with buds, and the green swords if daffodils are cutting through the cold ground. Even when it is cold, there is sometimes a hint of spring in the air, and the promise of green things waiting.

February always seems like a green and white kind of month. Snowdrops, obviously, but also I'm surprised at how much green there is at the beginning of February. The lack of leaves make the greens of moss and lichen, and of evergreens, more noticeable. 

By the end of February, there'll be blossom, and maybe even a few leaves 💚🤍💚🌱💮
